Whole30, Day 8

After breakfast this morning, I headed downtown for yoga.  Today’s focus was Dukka and overcoming pain and suffering by acknowledging the things that cause…pain and suffering.  So, as you can imagine, there were a good deal of challenging poses meant to cause us…you guessed it…pain and suffering!  It was just what I needed, though, since I haven’t been to class since before Christmas.  I was super tight all over and really needed to crack the rust off.

Since I ate such a hearty breakfast, I knew I wasn’t going to be too hungry after class but I brought a banana microwaved with some almond butter and cinnamon to snack on afterwards on my way to Whole Foods.

At Whole Foods, I grabbed a few things we needed–most notably some Apple Jack salad and curried cauliflower to bring to work this week and my first pair of Tom’s Shoes!  Of course, they’re the sparkly ones :)

I came home, took care of a few things around the house, then got really hungry.  I had a glass of fresh orange juice…

…and baked a plantain with some cinnamon.

Dinner was an assortment of leftovers from throughout the week.  I made a plate of Aloo Gobi and Baingan Bharta.  Indian food ages so well!

If you read the blog regularly, you might have noticed that I’ve been messing with formatting, picture size, etc…I apologize in advance, since I’m trying to tweak the look of the site to look a little more “grown up” and less like I have no idea what I’m doing…which is true, but I don’t want you to know…

Nighty night!
